We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of The Rev'd David Cawley, aged 79, on Tuesday 6th February. David was a pupil at Kent College, Canterbury from 1955-1962. In 1973, David was ordained in Norwich and after serving in several dioceses, he later held several roles in the diocese of Leicester between 1995 and 2009, most notably Vicar of St Mary de Castro. David retired to Canterbury in 2009 and held the Bishop’s Permission to Officiate there until 2023. David’s funeral is to be held in Canterbury Cathedral at 11am on Wednesday 13th March, followed by a reception in the Cathedral Lodge.
